Moisturizing  are an essential process of every beauty regimen. Save money on conventional moisturizers and invest in face oils.  They have the natural ability to hydrate and nourish all skin types.

  • Coconut oil

Loaded with vitamin E, coconut oil can be used as a great moisturizer.

It moisturizes the skin because it is full of fatty acids. Coconut oil naturally antibacterial and antifungal properties help to protect skin and hair from the elements (especially helpful during those harsh winter months.

  • Jojoba oil

Similar to the skin’s structure,  jojoba oil can help balance out sebum production and eliminate acne. Comprised of beneficial minerals and nutrients, jojoba oil also works as an emollient to soothe skin and provide all-day moisture. Those with oily skin can use it day and night to moisturize their skin and help balance out skin tone. It’s also a great alternative to body lotion for those who have sensitive skin.

  • Avocado Oil

Avocado oil is high in vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids, which helps proper cell function and decrease inflammation," says Jennifer Linder, MD, an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the University of California at San Francisco. Because it's such a rich emollient, avocado oil is ideal for those with dry, itchy, or aging skin.

  • Lavender oil

Lavender is the most versatile of all essential oils. Most commonly known for its relaxing effects on the body, therapeutic-grade lavender has been highly regarded for the skin. Lavender oil may be especially beneficial for those with acne and general skin irritation. "It helps control sebum production, soothes irritation, and is a natural antiseptic and disinfectant," says Linder.

  • Olive oil

Super rich in fatty acids and Vitamin E, extra-virgin olive oil is a natural moisturizer highly recommended for dehydrated skin.  Like jojoba oil, olive oil is similar to the oils naturally produced by our skin and so is absorbed well into the skin. However, those with acne should avoid smearing it on their face. Studies also show that the antioxidant content in olive oil may help protect against skin cancer.
